
JUNIOR SVFC TEAMS & TRAININGS
Stokes Valley Junior Football caters for children between the ages of 4 and 17 and of all abilities.
There are both mixed and girls only grades from U7 grade and above.
Girls have the choice to play Mixed, Girls Only or both as the Girls Only League is on a Sunday and Mixed on Saturdays
MIXED LEAGUES
FIRST KICKS
For boys and girls turning age 4-6 this calendar year
First Kicks is a fun introductory level to the basics of football, it's all about doing activities, drills and games with the ball and having fun while doing so. Symon our Director of Junior Football runs the sessions and asks for assitance from parents to help run little games towards the end of the session. When: Friday evenings 5pm - 6pm
Where: Delaney Park, George Street, Stokes Valley
MINI FOOTBALL (U11 & U12)
U11 Grade Mixed - boys and girls turning 11 this calendar year
U12 Grade Mixed - boys and girls turning 12 this calendar year
All players will be placed into a team at the beginning of the season after the Grade Assessment Sessions.
Trainings: 1 training per week (day & time TBC)
Games: games are played on Saturday mornings
All games are within the Hutt Valley region or any teams entered in the Regional League will play in the wider wellington Region.
The team will play 1 x 50 minute 9-aside game (incl Goal Keepers).
The coach will always inform the team of game times & location, but the draws for the Hutt Valley Competition will also be found here and the Regional League draws can be found here.
FUN FOOTBALL (U7 & U8)
U7 Grade Mixed - boys and girls turning 7 this calendar year
U8 Grade Mixed - boys and girls turning 8 this calendar year
All players will be placed into a team with friends or children from the same school as best as possible. The aim is for 6-8 players per team.
Trainings: 1 training per week (day & time TBC)
Games: games are played on Saturday mornings
Capital Football arrange 'Fun Festivals' every 3 weeks for these grades where they will play 4 x 12 minute, 5-aside (no goalkeepers) games against other clubs at one location in the Hutt Valley. The other weeks will be either in-house games (vs each other) or arranged games between other local clubs. Draws are released week-to-week.

YOUTH FOOTBALL (U13 & U15)
U13 Grade Mixed - boys and girls turning 13 this calendar year
U15 Grade Mixed - boys and girls turning 14 & 15 this calendar year
All players will be placed into a team at the beginning of the season after the Grade Assessment Sessions.
Trainings: 1-2 training per week (day & time TBC)
Games: games are played on Saturday mornings
All games are played in the wider Wellington Region. The team will play 1 x 60 minute game
The coach will always inform the team of game times & location, but the draws for the Wellington Combined Competition will be found here and the Regional League draws can be found here.
MINI FOOTBALL (U9 & U10)
U9 Grade Mixed - boys and girls turning 9 this calendar year
U10 Grade Mixed - boys and girls turning 10 this calendar year
All players will be placed into a team at the beginning of the season after the Grade Assessment Sessions.
Trainings: 1 training per week (day & time TBC)
Games: games are played on Saturday mornings

The team will play 2 x 25 minute, 7-aside games (incl Goal Keepers).

YOUTH FOOTBALL (U17)
U17 Grade Mixed - boys and girls turning 16 & 17 this calendar year
All players will be placed into a team at the beginning of the season after the Grade Assessment Sessions.
Trainings: 1-2 training per week (day & time TBC)
Games: games are played on Sunday mornings
All games are played in the wider Wellington Region. The team will play 1 x 90 minute game

GIRLS ONLY LEAGUES
U8 GRADE
For girls turning ages 7 & 8 this calendar year
All players will be placed into a team with friends or children from the same school as best as possible. The aim is for 6-8 players per team.

Games: games are played on Sunday mornings
