Coaching our players is a rewarding job and a role our Club needs more of. We support all our coaches to gain FREE qualifications and skills to get the best from our players. We want to help coaches get the best out of themselves and their players, New Zealand Football’s Coach Education framework offers a range of high-quality flexible options ranging from junior and youth football right through to courses for coaches working in the senior competitive arena.

The New Zealand Football Coach Education Pathway (PDF) has courses available at all levels of the game including Junior, Youth and Senior. Each course provides coaches with age appropriate learning to enhance their players experience and development in the game.

Refereeing is a vital job on the field. For referees in New Zealand there is a clear pathway to help you achieve your goals while contributing to the success and enjoyment of players, coaches and fans along the way.

Capital Football run referee training courses and these include:


Introduction to Refereeing course – a short introduction to the Laws of the Game for those interested in the game and who wish to learn a little more. This is a FREE course and takes about 3 hours. All you need to bring is a pen! This is the minimum qualification for the 10th – 12th Grade Premier Leagues.
